Jewelry by hands
With chemistry you can create a keychain or decoration. The use of polymer clay provides a great opportunity to implement their ideas!
Polymer clay is the substance that you can easily get at home and with it to create different decorations by hands. To get the polymer clay we will need the following materials:
- - PVA glue that you can buy in any office supply or paint store
- - corn starch - you can buy in supermarkets or grocery stores
- - vaseline - from pharmacies or cosmetic stores
- - squeezed lemon juice
- and the last ingredient is a hand cream, without silicone (the cream should not be bold)
Now a tell about the dishes, where all will be prepared. We need capacity for mixing the ingredients, preferably of glass (as the capacity to be heated), and the tool will mix with: plastic spoon or spatula - perfect!
After the polymer clay will take the desired form, we need a plaque for rolling the "dough" - polymer clay.
Let's get to cooking! To start we can know the weight of the resulting polymer clay. For example, to get 350g follow to get ingredients in the ratio:
- - starch and PVA glue - 250 g;
- - lemon juice - 2 tablespoons;
- - jelly and low fat cream - 1 tablespoon;
So, into the prepared glass bowl pour the corn starch, added PVA glue and then add the vaseline, and then mix everything thoroughly. In a jumbled mass add lemon juice and stir again. Should get a homogeneous mass.
Put the homogeneous mixed mass in the microwave. The oven needs to operate at maximum mode. There are two stages: after the first 30 sec baking take out our capacity with clay and again mix thoroughly. Then put another 30 sec in the oven. Now prepare a plate for rolling polymer clay, in working surface put some cooked cream. Extracted from microwave the capacity with polymer clay, remove residues from the surface, for example, with spoon and spread the whole mass on a plate. The excess that was formed on the surface of the clay after the stove, you need to remove.
Now carefully stir the mass, as dough. It is necessary to knead for about 5 minutes. Polymer clay must acquire elasticity and flexibility. Give it a form of "sausages", then for final drying and removal of residual liquid put polymer clay on a dry cloth. After final cooling, wrap it in plastic film. That is all, polymer clay is ready! If You do not want to use it now, place the clay in a plastic container with a tight lid in the refrigerator.
To get a multi-colored polymer clay use food or aniline dyes. The paint should be added at the beginning of cooking with mixing ingredients. All the obtained colored polymer clay samples are stored identically (as described above), in individual plastic packaging.
